This text, an extract from “Pig” by Roald Dahl is about the birth of a boy, the death of his parents and how he became an orphan.

We analyzed the words that we didn't know by dissecting words, by putting things in the context and by using different clues we tried to picture the scene using our imagination and by broadly guessing.
